A Country And Family Divided

Jesus didn't promise peace among us for His name sake. He warned us that we would be persecuted for His name sake. Father against son, son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother.







Luke 12:53

53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

We need to take a look at our generations in this matter. There were more godly morals from the generation that came from the 1950's than the generation that came only 10 years later. While believing they were spreading peace and love, they weren't. That generation was spreading "tolerance". Not once in the Bible can you find the world tolerance, tolerate or tolerant. God didn't want us to tolerate evil, He wants us to run from it quickly.

Those who know the Bible and realize that God doesn't approve of homosexuality are divided among those that claim God is all about love. No He's not. No doubt He loves us with a passion and wants none of us to perish but He will not be compliant with our sins, and yes homosexuality is a sin. God knew the newer generations would be desensitized to homosexuality because it's thrown in their faces at every turn of every day and after time, they become desensitized to the sins of the world. They become compliant with the world that is telling them that their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents are intolerant bigots. This is where that Bible verse comes in to play.

You've heard the expression, "Just because everyone's jumping off the bridge, doesn't mean you have to". It's true! When the rest of the world is headed off the cliff of sin, it doesn't mean you have to follow. Just because everyone is doing it, it doesn't make it right.  That is wisdom that should have been passed down to you from previous generations.

Most won't speak out against homosexuality because they have a family member or a dear friend who is gay or supports that movement. Speak up! It's your voice. Don't let others silence what is right. I'm not in any way promoting the bashing of homosexuals. My intentions is to let you know, you are allowed a voice. God gave you a voice and free will. It is your choice. You don't have to be violent with your beliefs, but you can speak your beliefs and in America, there should be no reprisals. Sadly enough, there will be. You will be persecuted.

Matthew 5:10

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

There will be division among family, there will be division among friends and most definitely, division among a country. Just remember this verse and be comforted...

2 Corinthians 4:9

9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
